A Brief History
Ceuta is proud to own a great brand that is held in high regard by millions of Brits.
In 1976, Concorde embarked on its first commercial flight, two NASA spacecraft landed on Mars, The Apple Computer company was founded and Shield was launched by Unilever.
Unilever turned Shield into a household name through many years of investment in memorable TV advertising, some of which can still be viewed today.
Ceuta acquired Shield in March 2004, the same year the Olympic games returned to Athens & a 19 year old Michael Phelps won 6 gold medals.
Since then, Ceuta has advertised on posters and radio, plus repackaged Shield to keep it looking modern and fresh.
